Four Ormskirk players have achieved recent success.
Pat Gibson (Old Dog) won the MQL MIMIR Trophy for the fifth time, retaining the trophy he won last season. Peter Duffy (Unison) and Alan Gibbs (Wheatsheaf) both reached the final four.
Arthur Heyes won a heat of the TV show Fifteen to One, but did not reach the final as shown in the Archive TV section.

Two finals were played in front of an audience of 35 representing 12 teams.
In the Plate Final Unison had made up 9 of the 10 point handicap in the first half, but Colly Wobblers pulled away to win by 50 points to 43. Darren Martin scored 18 for Unison and Andy McGowan 13 for Colly Wobblers.
In the Don Liptrot Trophy Final the teams drew on the questions, but the handicap saw Aughton Institute victorious by 63 points to 54, largely due to 24 from Gordon Richards. Kevin Walton scored 15 for Abbey Saints.
The trophies were presented by MQL Treasurer Dag Griffiths.
