Division 1:- In a game where all eight players posted double figure scores, Colly Wobblers beat Abbey Saints, thanks to 19 points and a ‘full house’ from Pat Gibson and 15 from Andy McGowan. 23 points from Janet Crompton was the main contributor to Squigglers score as they narrowly beat ‘new comers’ Abbey Sinners. Unison thanks to 19 from Darren Martin and 16 from Alan Gibbs beat Rugby Hounds for whom Eric Lupton scored 17. In a close game Helenians, with all four players scoring double figures, beat Newburgh Lions for whom David Sinclair scored 18.
Division 2:- Red Lion Bulldogs drew their game with Gang of Four, Steve Garrett scoring 19 for Red Lion. The Tuesday quiz proved a lot harder. Aughton Institute narrowly beat Ormskirk Tennis Club thanks to 16 from Ian Bakewell. In the two other games Parbold Exiles, for whom Jim Dawber scored 18, beat Ormskirk Theatre Company and Whippet beat Ormskirk Farmers.

Division 1:- In the game between Rugby Hounds and Abbey Saints, all players registered double figure scores.19 points and a ‘full house’ from David Hodgson and 15 from Eric Lupton saw Rugby Hounds comfortable winners over the Saints who only fielded three players; Kevin Walton scored 15 for the losing team. Newburgh Lions beat Squigglers thanks to 15 points from John Purslow. Pat Gibson’s 17 points was the major contribution to Colly Wobblers win over Helenians.
Division 2:- 17 points and a ‘full house’ from Carol Thompson wasn’t quite enough for Ormskirk Theatre Company to overcome Ormskirk Tennis Club; Keith Mountain and Sarah Lawton scored 17 and 18 respectively for the Tennis Club. Gang of Four, with 15 points from Matt Cochrane beat OCC. Red Lion Bulldogs were victorious over Benchwarmers thanks to 19 from Irene Melling; Rob Green scored 18 for the losing team. In the Tuesday quiz Whippet had a comfortable win over Aughton Institute; Debbie Davidson and Brian Yates scoring 15 and 16 respectively for the winners.

A quiz day in Liverpool has been arranged for Saturday, 10 October 2015.
We have 4 Eggheads booked in and a Chaser and here is your chance to not only play against them, but with them in the team event. The teams will be drawn based on performance in the individual quiz and you could find yourself sat next to Kevin Ashman or Anne Hegerty!
