Colly Wobblers lost their first match of the season to Turks Head Sinners, for whom Peter Duffy scored16 and Bill Gerrard 12; Andy McGowan (15) and Roy Atherton (14) scored well for the losers. The handicap result remained the same. Newburgh Lions remain in second place after their victory over Hayfield Gang; Gareth Flynn (15), Jim Maloney (14) and Darren Martin (13) top scored for the winners while Matt Cochrane (15) did likewise for Hayfield. John Wilson (16), Ritchie Venner (14) and Brian Farrimond (12) helped Greyhound to a comfortable win over Benchwarmers for whom Rob Green scored 13. 16 points from Eric Lupton helped Rugby Hounds overcome Ormskirk Theatre Company. Despite 15 points from Janet Crompton and 12 from Barry Marshall, Scarecrows lost narrowly to the Delph Tavern, for whom Paul McAteer scored 14. An impressive 21 points from Charles Johnson earned Turks Head Saints a victory over Helenians. In these five matches the handicap result was reversed.

With two weeks left before the league splits into two divisions, the competition for the top six places is extremely tight with ten teams having a possibility of finishing there, and will probably be decided on points difference.
