In Division 1 there were comfortable wins for Old Dog, for whom Pat Gibson scored 16, and Unison, for whom Darren Martin scored 21 and a 'full house' in what proved to be a difficult and unpopular set of questions on Monday. Wheatsheaf had a closer victory over Robin Hood thanks to Alan Gibbs’ contribution of 18. Squigglers continued their good new year form with a win over Gang of Four thanks to 19 from Janet Crompton. Ormskirk Tennis Club had a useful win over Colly Wobblers, Paul Prior scoring 17 for the winners.
In Division 2 Newburgh Lions surrendered their lead at the top to Abbey Saints who beat Benchwarmers. 20 from Brian Yates saw Whippet home against Parbold Exiles. Red Lion (Burscough)’s narrow victory over Ormskirk Theatre Company saw them exchange places at the lower end of the table in a low scoring game.
