Ormskirk beat Northern by 52 points to 25 to confirm their place at the top of the table. Leading scorers were John Wilson with 15 points, Ray Oakes with 14 and Darren Martin with 13.

In his first round heat Darren Martin from Unison came second by 1 point. The winner gained his vital point on the fourth attempt at the last question! Darren may qualify for the next round as one of the best runners-up.
