Colly Wobblers won the MQL Cup final beating Rainhill Victoria(Liverpool) 50-44; Pat Gibson scored 25 and registered a ‘full house’.
In the MIMIR final, Charles Johnson (Unison) finished second to Karl Whelan (Wirral); Rod Moore (Liverpool) was third and Tom Farley (Southport & Formby) was fourth.

Congratulations to Colly Wobblers who have won the MQL Feeny Cup for the first time. In the first match they beat Unison 55-49 thanks to 20 points from Pat Gibson and 15 from Mike Unsworth and Andy McGowan - Darren Martin scored 17 for Unison. In the second match Unison beat Oxton Cons (Wirral) 48-42 thanks to 22 points from Darren Martin. In the decider Colly Wobblers beat Oxton Cons 50-42 with Pat contributing 18.
They will now try to win the Merseyside Challenge Cup on May 10th.

Fortyfour players and guests representing fourteen teams enjoyed a full evening at Unison Club.
In the Plate Final Ormskirk Theatre Company made up the five point difference in handicap against Aughton Institute in the first round, eventually winning 67-57, Alan Thompson leading the scoring with 16.
In the Don Liptrot Trophy Final Squigglers had a seven point lead on handicap against Colly Wobblers and with all players scoring in double figures maintained their lead, winning 57-51 despite 16 from both Pat Gibson and Andy McGowan for the runners-up.
Thanks to the many people who donated raffle prizes a sum of £80 was raised for Douglas Valley Lions Club.

In a change of venue the Feeny Cup will be concluded at the Greyhound in Ormskirk on Wednesday April 26th between Unison, Colly Wobblers and Oxton Cons.

Cup :- Despite 19 points from Debbie Davidson, Rugby Hounds lost to Colly Wobblers for whom Pat Gibson scored 16 and Mike Unsworth 19. Squigglers overcame a handicap of 5 to beat Abbey Saints; Janet Crompton scored 23 for the winners and Kevin Walton 16 for the Saints.
So the final will be:-
Squigglers (11) v Colly Wobblers (4)
Plate :- Ormskirk Theatre Company, with a start of 10, had a comfortable win over Abbey Sinners, for whom Bill Gerrard scored 24 points. Despite 17 points from Alf Westwell, Helenians narrowly failed to overcome a handicap of 16 to Aughton Institute.
Therefore the Plate final will be :-
Ormskirk Theatre Company (23) v Aughton Institute (28)
