In the second evening of matches Ormskirk won one match and lost one match. In the first match Liverpool gained revenge for their defeat last time, the final score was 33-43. Ormskirk then beat Southport & Formby 54-42 with Pat Gibson (19) and Gary Grant (17) leading the scoring. Liverpool and Ormskirk head the table with six points each.

Division 1 :- Unison maintained their 100% record with a win over Helenians; Darren Martin top scored for Unison with 24 points. Despite 22 points from David Sinclair, Newburgh Lions lost to Greyhound, for whom John Wilson and Andy Francis both scored 16. 23 points including a full house from Pat Gibson and 20 from Mike Unsworth ensured Colly Wobblers’ victory over Robin Hood. Ormskirk Tennis Club, thanks to 19 points from Paul Prior, won the day over Squigglers. Abbey Saints, for whom Barbara Flaherty scored 15, lost to Whippet; Brian Yates scoring 16 for the winners.
Division 2 :- Rugby Hounds remain top on points difference after their win over Ormskirk Farmers; David Hodgson (19) and Eric Lupton (16) scored well for the winners. Abbey Sinners are a close second and still undefeated, after their victory over Legion Lions; Bill Gerrard scored 21 for the Sinners while Steve Garrett replied with 15 for Legion Lions. Despite 12 points from John Hesketh, Aughton Institute lost to Gang of Four; Andrew Sackville (13), Matt Cochrane (12) and Martin Burke (12) scored well for the winners. Benchwarmers, for whom Mike Wall scored 15 lost to Bispham Farmers Arms; Jim Dawber (15) and Dave Cockram (12) led the scoring for Bispham.

11.30am: St Helens Crematorium, Rainford Road, St Helens, WA10 6DF.
Followed by refreshments at Prescot Cables Football Club, Eaton Street, Prescot, L34 6HD.
Donations to Willowbrook Hospice will be welcome.

Division 1 :- Unison, thanks to 19 from Darren Martin, overcame Robin Hood by the narrowest of margins; Sue Perks scored 18 for the losers. Greyhound remain second after their win over Helenians; Mal Collier (16) and John Wilson (15) led the scoring for the winners. Squigglers were one point down going into the last round against Colly Wobblers but then succumbed 8-3 and are still without a win; Pat Gibson scored 21 for Colly Wobblers and Barry Marshall replied with 16 for Squigglers. 22 points from David Sinclair was the difference in Newburgh Lions victory over Abbey Saints. Despite 18 points from Sarah Lawton, Ormskirk Tennis Club lost to Whippet, all of whose players scored in double figures.
Division 2 :- 23 points from Bill Gerrard and 16 from Steve Pilkington was a major factor in Abbey Sinners’ comfortable win over Aughton Institute. 15 points from Alan Thompson and 14 from Derek Baker assured Ormskirk Theatre Company a win over Bispham Farmers Arms. Despite 14 points from Rob Green, Benchwarmers lost to Gang of Four. In the other game Ormskirk Farmers beat Legion Lions who only fielded three players.

Division 1 :- In the top of the table clash Unison emerged victorious over Greyhound; Darren Martin (23) and Alan Gibbs (19) scored well for the winners while John Wilson replied with 22 points for Greyhound. Despite 20 points from Gordon Richards, Whippet lost to Colly Wobblers; Pat Gibson (18 and a full house) and Mike Unsworth (15) led the scoring for the winners. An excellent 25 points from Paul Prior and 15 from Keith Mountain earned Ormskirk Tennis Club a win over Newburgh Lions for whom David Sinclair scored 22. In the other game Robin Hood won the day over Squigglers who are surprisingly still winless.
Division 2 :- Rugby Hounds had a comprehensive victory over a three man Legion Lions; David Hodgson scored a remarkable 26 points ably assisted by Eric Lupton (17). Gang of Four for whom Matt Cochrane scored 14 and Andrew Sackville 13, overcame Ormskirk Theatre Company; Alan Thompson added 15 and Lynn Hawkes 12 to the Theatre Company’s score. 13 points from Dave Berrington earned Ormskirk Farmers a win over Aughton Institute. Abbey Sinners, for whom Bill Gerrard scored 22 and Francis Williams 20, beat Benchwarmers.
