Despite 14 points from Colin MacDonald and 15 from David Hodgson, Rugby Hounds lost narrowly to Helenians, for whom Bob Foster scored 13. 17 points from Sue Perks and 14 from Paul McAteer saw Delph Tavern victorious over Hayfield Gang; Delph Tavern remain unbeaten. Greyhound, thanks to 19 points from Ritchie Venner and 16 each from Lynne Ashcroft and Mal Collier won the day against Benchwarmers. Despite 15 points from Barbara Flaherty and 14 from Charles Johnson, Turks Head Saints lost to Scarecrows; Janet Crompton (14), Barry Marshall (13) and Magnus Brass (12) scored well for the winners.
The results of all these games remained the same on handicap.

Colly Wobblers remain top and unbeaten after their win over Helenians, for whom Bob Foster scored 13; Steve Feller (13), Andy McGowan (12) and Mike Unsworth (14) led the scoring for the winners. 18 points each from Jim Maloney and Darren Martin, saw Newburgh Lions home in their match against Hayfield Gang for whom Matt Cochrane scored 16 and Rob Jones 15. Despite 17 points from Barry Marshall and 15 from Janet Crompton, Scarecrows lost to Turks Head Sinners, for whom Bill Gerrard scored an impressive 21 points and Tony Spark 12. 18 points from Rob Green couldn’t prevent Benchwarmers losing to Delph Tavern; Tom Evans (14) and 12 each from Sue Perks and Paul McAteer earned Delph the win. The results of all these matches were reversed on handicap. 15 points from Charles Johnson and 12 from Kevin Walton earned Turks Head Saints a win over Rugby Hounds, for whom Eric Lupton scored 16 and Colin MacDonald 15; as a result the Saints remain in second place. 15 points from Mal Collier and 13 from Brian Farrimond helped Greyhound beat Ormskirk Theatre Company for whom Gordon Richards scored 16. The results of these latter two games were the same when handicaps were applied.

In the top of the table clash, Colly Wobblers, thanks to 17 points from Pat Gibson and 18 from Mike Unsworth, overcame Turks Head Saints, for whom Kevin Walton scored 13 and Charles Johnson 12. 17 points from Alf Westwell an 13 from Bob Foster earned Helenians a win over Hayfield Gang. A very impressive 25 points from Paul McAteer and 18 from Sue Perks earned Delph Tavern a win over Ormskirk Theatre Company for whom Alan Thompson scored 18. 19 points from Bill Gerrard and16 from Peter Duffy earned Turks Head Sinners a win over Greyhound for whom Ritchie Venner scored18 and Brian Farrimond 13. The results of all these matches remained unchanged after handicaps were applied. A remarkable 29 points from Darren Martin saw Newburgh Lions victorious over Benchwarmers. Despite 17 points from Janet Crompton, Scarecrows lost to Rugby Hounds; Eric Lupton (14) and David Hodgson (17) top scored for the winners. The results of these latter two games were reversed on handicap however.

Turks Head Saints remain top after another comfortable win over Hayfield Gang; Mike Critchley and Barbara Flaherty both scored 15 for the winners. Delph Tavern, thanks to 13 points from Paul McAteer and 14 from Sue Perks overcame Turks Head Sinners; Peter Duffy (18) scored well for the Sinners. The handicap results of these two games remained the same. Despite 17 points from Eric Lupton, Rugby Hounds lost by the narrowest of margins on the final question to Colly Wobblers for whom Pat Gibson scored 20 and Mike Unsworth 13. 16 points from Ritchie Venner and 15 from Brian Farrimond helped Greyhound overcome Scarecrows, for whom Janet Crompton and Barry Marshall both scored 15. Newburgh Lions, thanks to 14 from Jim Maloney and 19 from Darren Martin, beat Ormskirk Theatre Company, for whom Gordon Richards scored 12. The results of these latter three games were reversed when handicaps were applied. Helenians overcame Benchwarmers but the handicap result was a draw.
