A remarkable 26 points from Paul McAteer helped Delph Tavern to a draw with Scarecrows for whom Barry Marshall scored 16 and Janet Crompton 12; Scarecrows won on handicap however. Despite 14 points from Rob Jones, Hayfield Gang lost to Colly Wobblers, all of whose players scored in double figures led by Mike Unsworth’s 17 points. All of Turks Head Saints players scored in double figures too, ensuring a win over Ormskirk Theatre Company for whom Alan Thompson scored 12. Despite 22 points and a full house from John Wilson and 16 from Brian Farrimond, Greyhound lost to Newburgh Lions, for whom Darren Martin scored 16 and Jim Maloney 15. An impressive 23 points from Bill Gerrard earned a win for Turks Head Sinners over Helenians, for whom Mike Flaherty scored 14. Rugby Hounds, for whom Eric Lupton scored 14 and Colin MacDonald and David Hodgson 13 each, overcame Benchwarmers; Rob Green scored 16 for Benchwarmers.
The handicap scores on these matches were reversed.
