Division 1 :- Old Dog are top of the league after a comfortable win over Squigglers; Pat Gibson scored 19 and Ray Oakes 15 for Old Dog. Newburgh maintained their 100% start to the season after a win over Ormskirk Tennis Club; Jim Maloney scoring 19 for the winners. An impressive 20 points and a full house from Madeline Evans played a significant part in Unison’s comfortable victory over Greyhound. Farmers Arms overcame Helenians thanks to 18 points from Charles Johnson.
Division 2 : Abbey Sinners stay top after their win over Gang of Four for whom Rob Jones scored 17, Francis Williams scored 16 for the Sinners. Abbey Saints are second after their win over Parbold Exiles; Kevin Walton scoring 17 for the winners and Jim Dawber 19 for the losers. Aughton Institute drew with Red Lion Bulldogs, Gordon Richards contributing 16 points for Aughton. Ormskirk Theatre Company maintain their promising start with a win over Benchwarmers thanks to 17 points from Alan Thompson. 16 points from Brian Yates helped Whippet overcome Ormskirk Farmers.

Ormskirk had a successful start to their defence of the trophy with a convincing 43-29 win over Warrington, with Pat Gibson scoring an impressive 21 points. The next game is on October 29th when the team travel to Christ the King Parish Club in Childwall to play Liverpool.

Division 1 :-Squigglers maintain their 100% start to the season, beating Ormskirk Tennis Club; Magnus Brass and Janet Crompton scoring 16 points each for Squigglers. Old Dog also remain unbeaten after a narrow win over Unison; John Wilson scored 18 and Pat Gibson 17 for Old Dog, while Peter Duffy replied with 17 points for Unison. Despite 16 points from Mike Flaherty, Helenians lost by a single point to Colly Wobblers. Charles Johnson’s 20 points was a significant factor in their narrow victory over Greyhound who only had three players. A good all round team performance saw Robin Hood home against Rugby Hounds.
Division 2 : Abbey Sinners top the league after their derby win over Abbey Saints thanks to 15 from Francis Williams. Colin Hyson’s 15 points for OCC wasn’t enough to beat Gang of Four. Jim Dawber’s 21 points assured Parbold Exiles victory over Aughton Institute for whom Gordon Richards scored 17.

Division 1 :- Newburgh Lions recorded their second win by beating Robin Hood in a close game, Jim Maloney scoring 18 for the winners. Old Dog also maintained their unbeaten start with a win over Farmers Arms, Ray Oakes scoring 19 for Old Dog. Squigglers opened their account with a win over Unison thanks to 17 from Janet Crompton and 16 from Brian Fitton, Dave Kenrick scored 18 for Unison. Rugby Hounds overcame Helenians; David Hodgson scoring 17 for the winners and Alf Westwell 16 for the losers
Division 2 :- Red Lion Bulldogs, thanks to 17 points from Steve Garrett beat a three man Benchwarmers. Abbey Sinners top the table after their win over three man Aughton Institute thanks to 20 points from Bill Gerard - the top scorer of the week. The Tuesday quiz produced low scores with Abbey Saints winning at OCC, Whippet winning against Gang of Four, who only had three players, and Parbold Exiles drawing with Ormskirk Theatre Company.
