The current series of Only Connect is fast coming to a close and, with their highest viewing figures in Only Connect history, they have fortunately been commissioned for another series that will be recorded in March/April 2013 in Cardiff.

1001 Things You Should Know

Channel 4’s quiz show, ‘1001 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW’, hosted by Sandi Toksvig, is looking for contestants to take part in the quiz chock full of questions you should know the answers to. The questions will cover all subjects, from science to nature, sport to television.

Week 12

 
Highlights - Questions generally favoured teams going in second on both Monday and Tuesday sets.
In Div 1 - Highest score Janet Crompton's 22 in Squigglers defeat to Greyhound. John Wilson scored 21 for Old Dog in their comfortable victory over Helenians
In Div 2 - First win for Ormskirk Theatre Company over Whippet and a good win for Parbold Exiles against Way Out West Park. Top scores were 20 for Gordon Richards of Aughton Institute and 20 for Paul Prior for Ormskirk Tennis Club.

Week 11

 
Highlights - Div 1 Old Dog had a comfortable win over Unison to remain at the top. Wheatsheaf are 2nd after a close win over Newburgh Lions. Top score of the week was 22 by David Hodgson in Rugby Hounds' victory over Abbey Saints.
In Div 2 A comfortable win for Gang of Four takes them clear at the top. With low scores on Tuesday's set the highest individual scores were 16 by Francis Sephton for Way Out West Park and Brian Yates for Whippet and Rob Green who scored 23 of Benchwarmers 30 points as they lost by 1 to the Aughton Institute.

Week 10

 
Highlights:- Div 1 Colly Wobblers win over Unison, leaving Old Dog clear at the top.
Top score: Jim Maloney scored 20 in Newburgh Lions narrow defeat to Squigglers.
 
Div 2. - Second wins for Red Lion (Burscough) (over Benchwarmers) and Parbold Exiles (over Ormskirk Theatre Company) for whom Jim Dawber scored 20 points.

Week 9

Highlights :- John Wilson scored 20 in Old Dog's 1 point win over Robin Hood. Jim Maloney also scored 20 for Newburgh Lions in their win against the Farmers Arms. Top score in Division 1 was Janet Crompton's 24 in their comprehensive win over a weakened Helenians team.

In Division 2 Aughton Institute beat top team Colliers mainly thanks to 19 scored by Gordon Richards. Top score in Division was 20 by Paul Prior for Ormskirk Tennis Club.
