In the first night of matches Ormskirk had a narrow defeat and a draw. In the first match there was a three point defeat to Liverpool 2A, 48-51. Eric Lupton scored 24 points which included a full house of answering all his own questions, Paul McAteer on debut scored 12. One point is gained in the league table for this close defeat. The second match was a 41-41 draw against Warrington Primrose, Paul McAteer top scored with 13.
