Sixteen players took part in the Ormskirk heat at the Greyhound. There were some very close heats, including two play-offs, that provided four finalists. Pat Gibson (Colly Wobblers) scored 16 to retain the title and win his seventh Ormskirk title. Close behind were Darren Martin (Unison) and Bill Gerrard (Abbey Sinners) on 12 with Mike Unsworth (Colly Wobblers) on 11. Many people contributed to a successful evening particularly Mike Unsworth who assisted by Paul Prior organised the event plus all those who asked questions and acted as scorers and bonus checkers.
