In the Delph derby, Colly Wobblers, thanks to 12 points from Andy McGowan and 18 from Mike Unsworth, beat local rivals Delph Tavern, for whom Paul McAteer scored 15; Colly Wobblers also won on handicap. An impressive 21 points from John Wilson earned Greyhound a win over Hayfield Gang; Hayfield won on handicap however. 16 points from Charles Johnson was just enough for Turks Head Saints to overcome Newburgh Lions, for whom Darren Martin scored 13; the Saints also won on handicap. 14 points from Rob Green wasn’t enough for Benchwarmers, who lost to Scarecrows; however the handicap result was a draw. 15 points from Bill Gerrard earned Turks Head Saints the narrowest of wins over Ormskirk Theatre Company, for whom Gordon Richards scored 17; the handicap result was a win for the Theatre Company. Rugby Hounds lost to Helenians, for whom Dave Boyd scored 13 and Mike Flaherty 12; Helenians also won on handicap.
