Division 1:-Newburgh Lions are champions for the second successive year, so many congratulations to them. They beat Turks Head Saints with Darren Martin scoring 20 points and John Purslow and Jim Maloney 12 each, while Barbara Flaherty and Charles Johnson scored 13 each for the Saints. 17 points from John Wilson and 16 from Ritchie Venner assured Greyhound’s win over Turks Head Sinners, for whom Bill Gerrard scored 17. Despite an impressive 26 points from Paul McAteer, Delph Tavern lost to Colly Wobblers, for whom Andy McGowan scored 14 and Mike Unsworth 16. The handicap results of these games remained unchanged.
Division 2:- Rugby Hounds are champions topping the table on points difference from Scarecrows so congratulations to them. They beat Helenians thanks to 21 points from Eric Lupton and 14 from David Hodgson, while Bob Foster scored 15 for Helenians. The result was reversed on handicap. A remarkable 24 points from Janet Crompton and 16 from Barry Marshall assured Scarecrows’ win over Hayfield Gang, for whom Ann Frank scored 12. Despite 15 points from Rob Green, Benchwarmers lost to Ormskirk Theatre Company, for whom Gordon Richards scored 15 and Alan Thompson 13. The results of these two games remained unchanged on handicap.
