Division 1 :- Congratulations to Unison who clinched the division1 title with a win over Newburgh Lions; all four Unison players registered double figure scores with Darren Martin leading with 19 points. Greyhound finish second on points difference after their win over Whippet; Peter Duffy (Whippet) top scored in this game with 15 points. Despite 15 points from Janet Crompton, Squigglers lost to Abbey Saints in a game where the lead changed hands several times. 15 points from Tom Evans assured Robin Hood a victory over Helenians. 22 points from Pat Gibson and 15 from Mike Unsworth gave Colly Wobblers a win over Ormskirk Tennis Club.
Division 2 :- In the division 2 decider, Abbey Sinners lost to Rugby Hounds (their first defeat of the season) but still won the title on points difference, so congratulations to them; Bill Gerrard scored 15 points for the Sinners while David Hodgson added 21 to Rugby Hounds’ score. 16 points from Rob Jones and 15 from Andrew Sackville secured Gang of Four’s win over Legion Lions, for whom Adrian Disley scored 13. John Hesketh’s 16 points was a major factor in Aughton Institute’s win over Bispham Farmers Arms. Ormskirk Theatre Company, thanks to 15 from Alan Thompson, defeated Benchwarmers.
Congratulations to Gang of Four who have won the Handicap League with 30 points. Ormskirk Tennis Club finished second with 28 points.
