Division 1:- Turks Head Sinners, all of whose players scored in double figures led by Bill Gerrard (16) and Peter Duffy (15), remain top after their win over Turks Head Saints for whom Charles Johnson scored 15. An impressive 25 points from Darren Martin assured Newburgh Lions’ win over Colly Wobblers, for whom Roy Atherton scored 12. Delph Tavern won their first game of the year when they overcame Greyhound; Tom Evans (17) and Paul McAteer (13) top scored for the winners, while Ritchie Venner and Brian Farrimond both added 12 to Greyhound’s score. The results of these games remained the same on Handicap.
Division 2:- In the top of the table clash, Scarecrows emerged victorious over Rugby Hounds but remain second on points difference, thanks to 14 points each from Barry Marshall and Janet Crompton; Colin MacDonald (15) and Tony Robinson (13) top scored for Rugby Hounds. Ormskirk Theatre Company beat Hayfield Gang; Gordon Richards scored 20 for the winners and Martin Burke scored 14 for Hayfield. 13 points each from Alf Westwell and Mike Flaherty assured Helenians win over Benchwarmers. The results of these games remained the same on Handicap.
