Whippet remain top after their win over Ormskirk Tennis Club; they overcame an 8 point deficit to win by 17, thanks to good scores from Peter Duffy (18), Gordon Richards (17) and Debbie Davidson (15). Despite 23 points and a full house from Pat Gibson, Colly Wobblers lost to Unison, for whom Charles Johnson scored 17 and Allan Gibbs 16. Robin Hood had a two point deficit on Gang of Four but finished 17 points ahead thanks to 18 from Paul Coffey.
