Cup:- The final stages of the Handicap Cup were played at the Turks Head. In the semi final Ormskirk Theatre Company began with an eight point start on Helenians but lost by six; Alf Westwell (16) and Bob Foster (12) top scored for the winners. In the final. Hayfield Gang also had an eight point start on Helenians but lost by seven; Mike Flaherty scoring 18 for the winners. Congratulations to Helenians on winning the Handicap Cup
Plate:- The final stages of the Plate competition were played at the Delph Tavern. In the semi-final Rugby Hounds began with a two point start on Delph Tavern and ran out winners by four points; Eric Lupton scored 17 for the winners, while Tom Evans added 14 to the Delph’s score. In the final Scarecrows had a six point lead on Rugby Hounds and held on to win by four. Barry Marshall (16) and Janet Crompton (13) top scored for the winners and Eric Lupton added an impressive 26 points to Rugby Hounds score. Congratulations to Scarecrows on winning the Handicap Plate
