Ormskirk won one and lost one in the final matches of the league season. They beat Southport & Formby 48-44 led by Bill Gerrard with 20. They then lost to Liverpool 2B 37-46 with Bill again scoring 20.
These results mean that Ormskirk finish in joint first place with Wirral and also qualify for the Presidential Challenge knockout.

Division 1 :- 19 points from Janet Crompton assured Squigglers of a victory over Helenians. Despite 19 points from David Sinclair, Newburgh Lions lost to Colly Wobblers, for whom Mike Unsworth scored 18 and Pat Gibson 15. In a remarkable game in which three players scored full houses, namely John Wilson (22), Ritchie Venner (18) for Greyhound and Darren Martin (23) for Unison, Greyhound emerged victorious. In the other game Abbey Saints drew with Whippet.
Division 2 :- 19 points from Bill Gerrard and 16 from Francis Williams helped Abbey Sinners to a win over Gang of Four, for whom Matt Cochrane scored 15. Despite a massive 25 points from Alan Thompson Ormskirk Theatre Company lost to Rugby Hounds; David Hodgson (22) and Eric Lupton (13) scored well for the winners. Aughton Institute, thanks to 21 points from John Hesketh, won the day against a three man Benchwarmers; Mike Wall scored 17 for the losing team.

Colly Wobblers are the only team that will move on to the semi finals. With all four players in double figures led by Pat Gibson with 16 they beat Abbey Sinners 53-27. They will now travel to play Wings (S&F) who beat Greyhound 42-35 for whom Andy Francis scored 16. Unison were beaten 33-50 by Victorian Cricketers.

All four Ormskirk teams have reached the quarterfinals. Colly Wobblers entertain Abbey Sinners. Unison entertain Victorian Cricketers (Liverpool). Greyhound travel to Wings (Southport & Formby).
