Division 1 :- Unison maintained their 100% record with a comfortable win over Turks Head Saints; Darren Martin (21 and a ‘full house’) and Charles Johnson (15) led the scoring for Unison while Kevin Walton replied with 15 for the Saints. Colly Wobblers, thanks to 22 from Pat Gibson, stay second after their win over Ormskirk Tennis Club, for whom Phil McConnell scored 20. 19 points from David Hodgson helped Rugby Hounds overcome Helenians, who remain winless at the foot of the table. 21 points from Jim Maloney proved the difference in Newburgh Lions’ win over Robin Hood. Despite 19 points from Bill Gerrard, Turks Head Sinners lost to Greyhound, all of whose players registered double figure score with John Wilson leading with 20.
Division 2 :- Whippet stay top and undefeated after beating Gang of Four; Gordon Richards (22 and a ‘full house’) and Peter Duffy (13) top scored for Whippet while Matt Cochrane (13) and Rob Jones (12) did likewise for Gang of Four. Squigglers, for whom Janet Crompton scored 22 points, remain second in the table after a thumping win over Legion Lions, Steve Garrett adding 13 to the Legion’s score. 13 points from Jim Dawber helped Bispham Farmers Arms earn a draw with Aughton Institutue. Ormskirk Theatre Company, for whom Alan Thompson scored 15, overcame a three man Benchwarmers.

Division 1 :- In the top of the table clash, Unison emerged victorious by a single point over Colly Wobblers; 17 and a full house from Charles Johnson and 19 from Darren Martin were greatly instrumental in Unison’s win. Greyhound remain third after another single point win over Robin Hood; Mal Collier scored 16 for the winners while Sue Perks contributed 17 to the Robin’s score. In the Turks Head derby, the Sinners won the day, thanks to an impressive 24 from Bill Gerrard and 15 from Francis Williams. Helenians gained their first point of the season by coming from 4 points down to draw in the final round against a three man Newburgh Lions; David Sinclair scored an excellent 23 points for Newburgh and Dave Boyd added 17 to Helenians score. 18 points from Colin MacDonald ensured Rugby Hounds a comfortable victory over Ormskirk Tennis Club.
Division 2 :- Whippet made it six wins out of six with a comfortable win over Benchwarmers; Peter Duffy (16) and Gordon Richards (15) top scored for Whippet who obviously remain top of the table. 21 points from Janet Crompton and 14 from Barry Marshall assured Squigglers’ win over Ormskirk Farmers, for whom Dave Berrington also scored 14. 15 points from Alan Thompson earned Ormskirk Theatre Company a draw with Aughton Institute; John Hesketh scored 12 for Aughton. Bispham Farmers Arms drew with Legion Lions and lifted themselves from the foot of the table; Jim Dawber scored 17 for Bispham and Steve Garrett 15 for the Legion.

This will be held at Unison on Monday December 16th from 8 15 and will be a table quiz for teams of four or five. The cost will be £3 per head.

Division 1 :- Unison remain unbeaten at the top of the table, after their victory over Rugby Hounds, with Darren Martin leading the scoring for the winners with an impressive 21 points. In the match between Colly Wobblers and Turks Head Sinners, the teams were level going into the last round, but Colly Wobblers won the final round 7-3 to win the game; Bill Gerrard scored 21 for the Sinners as did Pat Gibson for the winners. 17 points from Paul Prior was the difference in Ormskirk Tennis Club’s win over Helenians. Greyhound, thanks to John Wilson’s 20 points, won the day against Newburgh Lions. Robin Hood, for whom Sue Perks scored 20, beat Turks Head Saints.
Division 2 :- 14 points from Steve Garrett made the difference in Legion Lion’s win over Ormskirk Farmers. Whippet maintained their 100% record with a win over Aughton Institute; Gordon Richards scoring 18 for the winners. An impressive 24 points from Janet Crompton enabled Squigglers’ victory over Gang of Four. Ormskirk Theatre Company, thanks to 15 points from Alan Thompson, beat Bispham Farmers Arms.
