13 players entered the MIMIR individual competition played at The Greyhound tonight. Darren Martin emerged as the winner, so congratulations to him. Runners up in the final were John Wilson and Alan Gibbs two points behind with Eric Lupton in fourth place. These four plus Charles Johnson and Debbie Davidson progress to the Merseyside MIMIR finals in a week's time. Thanks to all those who attended for their help in officiating the games. Turks Head Sinners overcame their 12 point handicap against Hayfield in Round 5 with Bill Gerrard contributing 25 points. In the final they will meet Helenians who beat Bispham Farmers Arms, Dave Boyd scoring 19 for the winners.
In the Plate, despite a massive contribution of 28 points from Paul Prior, Ormskirk Tennis Club were beaten by Benchwarmers. Barbara Flaherty scored 19 for Turks Head Saints as they beat Rugby Hounds despite 17 from Eric Lupton.
The finals will be played on Monday April 25.

The draw for the Ormskirk heat of the MIMIR competition was made tonight at the Hayfield by the members of Ormskirk Tennis Club and Benchwarmers. Following the withdrawal of Steve Feller, the revised draw is as follows :-

Unison have won the Merseyside Challenge Cup with a 47-39 victory over Hatton Yarboury (Warrington). Darren Martin scored 19 and Alan Gibbs 17.
