MQL Finals

Old Dog retained the Merseyside Challenge Cup by beating Wheatsheaf in the final. This is their sixth consecutive win and seventh in the last eight seasons.

In a very close and high standard final Pat Gibson (Old Dog) won the MIMIR Trophy for the fourth time, beating Ray Oakes (Old Dog) a six times winner, Darren Martin (Unison) and Dag Griffiths (Wings from Southport & Formby) also a former winner.

QLL National Team Quiz 8th June

There will be a team representing MQL in the competition, places in it are still available!! If you would like to go along then please let Cliff Houghton know and also register your interest on the QLL website (link below). It really is a very full day of quizzing in an excellent Fuller's pub which opens exclusively for the use of quizzers on the day. There is room in the pub to hold at least six quizzes simultaneously so you're never left out and as the teams are selected at random you may get the opportunity to play alongside or against some of the best quizzers in the country.

Gang of Four and Ormskirk Tennis Club both represented the League in the round robin stage of the MQL Rendon Cup for second division teams.
