Division 1:- Old Dog remain unbeaten after their win over Farmers Arms; Pat Gibson 19 and Karl Whelan 16 were the main contributors for the winners. The battle for second was resolved in Unison’s favour despite Brian Fitton’s 16 points for Squigglers; Peter Duffy scored 16 for Unison. Jim Maloney’s 22 points was a significant factor in Newburgh Lions win over Robin Hood. In a close game Rugby Hounds won against Helenians, thanks to 16 points from Eric Lupton. Colly Wobblers narrowly beat a three man Greyhound for whom Tony Grieco scored 16.
Division 2:- Abbey Sinners remain undefeated with their win over Aughton Institute. The Tuesday quiz produced low scoring games; Ormskirk Theatre Company beat Parbold Exiles and Red Lion Bulldogs beat Benchwarmers by a single point.

The Monday quiz proved very unpopular and produced two very low scoring games; Squigglers narrowly beat Rugby Hounds and Old Dog had a more comfortable win over Newburgh Lions. On Tuesday, using a much more accessible quiz, Aughton Institute beat Benchwarmers; two players registered an impressive 22 points - Gordon Richards for Aughton and Rob Green for Benchwarmers.
Colly Wobblers and Unison both won their final games in the round robin part of the Merseyside Challenge Cup to qualify for the quarter finals. Mike Unsworth scored 20 points for Colly Wobblers as they beat the strong Zetland team from Southport & Formby. Darren Martin also scored 20 points for Unison against Exiles from Liverpool.

Division 1 :- 20 points from Darren Martin saw Unison home against Farmers Arms for whom Charles Johnson scored 17. Helenians recorded their second win in a row beating Newburgh Lions; Mike Flaherty scored 17 for the winners and Jim Maloney 16 points for the losers. Greyhound beat Rugby Hounds thanks to 15 from Andy Francis. Old Dog, thanks to 16 from Karl Whelan, stay top after beating Colly Wobblers. Paul Prior’s 19 points was a significant factor in their win over Robin Hood.
Division 2 : Abbey Sinners stay top after beating Ormskirk Theatre Company; Bill Gerrard 16, Francis Williams 16 and Steve Pilkington 15 were the main contributors to Abbey Sinners score. Gang of Four, thanks to 16 points from Matt Cochrane, easily beat Ormskirk Farmers who only had two players. 15 points from Colin Hyson saw OCC victorious over Aughton Institute.
