In a remarkably high scoring game in which three players namely Pat Gibson (19), Mike Unsworth (18) and Ritchie Venner (18) scored ‘full houses’ Colly Wobblers overcame Greyhound. Unison overcame a handicap of 23 to beat Ormskirk Theatre Company; Charles Johnson (19) and Darren Martin (18) led the scoring for Unison and Alan Thompson replied with 17 for Ormskirk Theatre Company. Another ‘full house’ was recorded by Paul Prior whose 28 points greatly helped Ormskirk Tennis Club redress a handicap of 15 to beat Aughton Institute for whom John Hesketh scored 17. In the Abbey ‘derby’ the Saints beat the Sinners thanks to 15 points from Kevin Walton. 23 points from Steve Garrett were not quite enough to enable Legion Lions to defeat Parbold Exiles.
