Both Ormskirk teams who played in the final week of league matches won comfortably. Greyhound had a bye.
Colly Wobblers beat Aardvarks (Wirral) 50-41 with Pat Gibson scoring 18. Unison beat Exiles (Liverpool) 42-34 in a three-a side match with Alan Gibbs scoring 23.
All three teams qualify for the quarter finals.

Division 1 :- Greyhound continued their good run and remain top of the table after an emphatic win over Newburgh Lions; Ritchie Venner (19) and John Wilson (16) top scored for Greyhound and David Sinclair (15) did likewise for Newburgh. 18 points from Charles Johnson and 17 from Darren Martin ensured Unison’s win over Rugby Hounds, for whom Colin MacDonald scored 18. Colly Wobblers, thanks to 18 from Steve Feller and 16 from Roy Atherton overcame Scarecrows. Robin Hood’s recent good run continued when they beat Turks Head Sinners; Paul McAteer scored 18 for the winners and Bill Gerrard 15 for the Sinners.
Division 2 :-In the top of the table clash, Turks Head Saints emerged victorious and go into first place after beating Ormskirk Tennis Club; Kevin Walton (13) and Barbara Flaherty (12) scored well for the winners, while Sarah Lawton contributed 14 to the Tennis Club’s score. Hayfield Gang, thanks to 17 points from Matt Cochrane and 14 from Rob Jones, overcame Ormskirk Theatre Company, for whom Alan Thompson scored 15 and Gordon Richards 12. Despite 15 points from Bob Foster, Helenians lost to Bispham Eagles, for whom Jim Dawber scored 14. Benchwarmers narrowly beat Aughton Institute; Rob Green scored 16 for the winners and Dave Berrington 13 for Aughton.

Ormskirk won one and lost one of their two matches last night. In the first match Ormskirk lost to Wirral 43-48 despite 16 points from Arthur Heyes on his debut. In the second match Ormskirk beat Liverpool 2a 45-40 with Bill Gerrard scoring 16.
