Ormskirk won both matches on the third evening of the competition and sit level with Liverpool on 10 points from 6 matches. The first match saw a close 42-38 win against Warrington with Pat Gibson scoring 15. The second win against Wirral was more comfortable 52-37 with Pat scoring 20 and John Wilson 15.

Division 1 :- Unison’s 100% run finally came to an end but they remain top after a defeat to Colly Wobblers; all eight players registered double figure scores. Greyhound stay second on points difference after their win over Ormskirk Tennis Club; John Wilson scored 18 for the winners while Paul Prior replied with 23 points for the Tennis Club. Squigglers finally won their first game of the season beating Helenians; Janet Crompton scored a remarkable 26 points for Squigglers. 15 points each from Kevin Walton and Barbara Flaherty helped Abbey Saints to a win over Robin Hood for whom Mike Preston scored 17. Whippet, after leading throughout, lost the final round 7-1 and as a result succumbed to Newburgh Lions, for whom David Sinclair scored an impressive 25 points.
Division 2 :- Abbey Sinners regained top spot after their win over Gang of Four; Bill Gerrard scored 20 for the winners. Rugby Hounds are in second place with their victory over Ormskirk Theatre Company; David Hodgson scoring 20 for the winners and Alan Thompson replied with 16 for the losers. 15 points from Mike Wall and 13 from Rob Green helped Benchwarmers win the day against Legion Lions and as a result move off the bottom of the table. Bispham Farmers Arms beat a 3 man Ormskirk Farmers; Jim Dawber contributed 16 to Bispham's score while Phil Roberts scored 19 for Ormskirk Farmers.

In this month’s round of matches Ormskirk won one and lost one. The first match against Liverpool 2A saw a win by 50-44 with Bill Gerrard scoring 20 points including answering seven of his own questions (as did his opposite number). The second match saw a defeat to Warrington by 32-46, with the toss for answering proving vital. Bill was again to the fore with 22 points.

Division 1 :- Unison remain top after their win over Squigglers; Darren Martin scored 18 for the winners and Barry Marshall replied with 17 for Squigglers. With all eight players scoring double figure scores, Greyhound emerged victorious over Colly Wobblers; Andy Francis (15) top scored for Greyhound as did Pat Gibson (15) for the losers. 21 points from Paul Prior made the difference in Ormskirk Tennis Club’s win over Abbey Saints. Despite 15 points from Sue Perks, Robin Hood lost to Newburgh Lions, for whom Jim Maloney contributed 16.
Division 2 :- With Abbey Sinners not playing Rugby Hounds took the opportunity to regain top spot on points difference, by beating Bispham Farmers Arms; Eric Lupton (16), Colin MacDonald (13) and David Hodgson (13) scored well for the winners. 19 points from Alan Thompson greatly helped Ormskirk Theatre Company’s win over a three man Legion Lions. Gang of Four, thanks to 13 from Rob Jones, won the day against Ormskirk Farmers. Despite an impressive 21 points from Rob Green, Benchwarmers lost to Aughton Institute for whom John Hesketh scored 13.
