Week 16

2 matches postponed in Division 1 due to the bad weather. Top scorer was Pat Gibson for leaders Old Dog in their comfortable win over Wheatsheaf. As a result Unison move into 2nd place after defeating Helenians. Greyhound consolidated 4th place with a close win over Collywobblers.

In Div 2 - Gang of Four won the battle of the top 2 with Ormskirk Tennis Club. Top scorers were Rob Green for Benchwarmers and Jim Dawber for Parbold Exiles each with 20 points

President's Trophy

Ormskirk beat Northern by 52 points to 25 to confirm their place at the top of the table. Leading scorers were John Wilson with 15 points, Ray Oakes with 14 and Darren Martin with 13.

Week 15

Div 1 Wins for the top three with Unison triumphing by a single point over Greyhound. Top scorer was Darren Martin with 22 points. Alan Gibbs scored 20 for Wheatsheaf in their comfortable win over Collywobblers.
In Div 2 there were comfortable wins for the top 2, Gang of Four and Ormskirk Tannis Club. Way Out West Park move up to 3rd with their win against the Red Lion. Top score in Div 2 was 22 by Gordon Richards of Aughton Institute in their defeat by Ormskirk Tennis Club

Brain of Britain

In his first round heat Darren Martin from Unison came second by 1 point. The winner gained his vital point on the fourth attempt at the last question! Darren may qualify for the next round as one of the best runners-up. Brain of Britain is in its 60th year and is broadcast on BBC Radio 4. It is also available to download as a podcast.

Week 14

Highlights -
Div 1 - Wheatsheaf climb to 2nd place following their win over Greyhound who drop to 4th. Top score of the week with 20 was Alan Gibbs.
Div 2 - No change at the top with comfortable wins for the top 5 teams.
In the matches played on Dec 17th, Darren Martin scored 21 in Unison's victory over Rugby Hounds and Jim Maloney scored 20 for Newburgh Lions in their defeat by Helenians.
