Ormskirk play their third match of the season on Wednesday when they entertain Warrington at the Greyhound.

Robin McIntosh has analysed the score sheets for the first half of the season and produced tables of average scores for the leading players in both divsions.
Darren Martin leads the 1st division with an average score of 19.64 points. Pat Gibson has answered 6.89 of his own questions per match.
Jim Maloney leads both categories in the 2nd division averaging 17.29 and answering 4.43 of his own questions.

Division 1:- Old Dog remain unbeaten at the top with a close 3-point win over Colly Wobblers. Unison, Greyhound and Wheatsheaf also had good wins to stay in 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Alan Gibbs had the top score in the division with 19 against Helenians. Roy Atherton scored 18 in Robin Hood's much-needed win over Farmers Arms.
Division 2:- Newburgh Lions beat Aughton Institute to remain clear at the top, Jim Maloney with 21 for the Lions had the week's top score. In the battle of the Abbeys, Saints beat Sinners by one point to consolidate 2nd place, despite 18 points from Bill Gerard for the losers. Ormskirk Theatre Company had a good win over Benchwarmers despite 18 from Rob Green on the losing side.

Division 1:- All the top teams won this week. Old Dog scored a massive 67 points against Gang of Four; Ray Oakes top-scored with 21 and Pat Gibson contributed 20, answering all his own questions again. Unison had a comfortable win against Farmers Arms despite 20 points by Charles Johnson for the losers. Alan Gibbs scored 21 for Wheatsheaf in their win against Rugby Hounds despite a contribution of 22 from David Hodgson. Other high scores were 20 by Janet Crompton for Squigglers in a closer win over Ormskirk Tennis Club and 22 for Mike Unsworth of Colly Wobblers against Helenians.
Division 2:- Wins for Abbey Saints, Abbey Sinners and Whippet saw them close up at the top to Newburgh Lions who had a free week. Benchwarmers moved away from the bottom with a good win against OCC. Bob Edge had the top score of the week with 19 for Whippet against Ormskirk Theatre Company.
