Division 1:-Turks Head Sinners remain top on points difference after their victory over Delph Tavern; Peter Duffy (17) and Dave Waddilove (13) top scored for the winners while Paul McAteer added 19 to the Delph’s total. An impressive 24 points from Darren Martin enabled Newburgh Lions’ win over Greyhound by a single point; Brian Farrimond (14) and Ritchie Venner (13) top scored for Greyhound. The handicap results of these two games remained the same. Colly Wobblers, thanks to 15 points from Roy Atherton and 13 from Steve Feller, beat Turks Head Saints, for whom Charles Johnson scored 18. Kevin Walton 13 and the returning Clive Walton 12. The handicap result was a draw.
Division 2:- Rugby Hounds, for whom Eric Lupton scored an impressive 25 points, remain top after their victory over Ormskirk Theatre Company, for whom Gordon Richards scored 14 and Alan Thompson 13. 21 points from Janet Crompton and 19 from Barry Marshall, assured Scarecows’ win over Helenians, for whom Mike Flaherty scored 15. Despite 16 points from Rob Green, Benchwarmers lost to Hayfield Gang for whom Jill Cochrane scored 16 and Martin Burke 15. The results of all these games remained the same on handicap. In the postponed game Scarecrows. again beat Helenians with Magnus Brass (13), Janet Crompton (14) and Barry Marshall (13) scoring well for the winners. Scarecrows also won on handicap.
