The Ormskirk MIMIR (individual competition) will take place at The Greyhound in Ormskirk on Wednesday 6th February at 8pm sharp. If you wish to enter, could you let me know by e-mail or phone - individual entries only (no block team entries) please. The window for entries is between noon on Wednesday 23rd January and 6pm Monday 28th January. I will do the draw after our game against Robin Hood on the 28th and I will publish it the following day. As in previous years entries are restricted to the first 16 to apply. Anyone finishing in the top 6 will then be eligible for the Merseyside MIMIR competition on the 20th March. Could you please pass on this information to all your team members.

Division 1 :- Greyhound remain top after their win over Robin Hood, John Wilson scoring 21 for the winners. Unison are second after beating Abbey Saints; Darren Martin (20 plus a full house) and Alan Gibbs (17) scored well for Unison. Despite 16 from Jim Maloney, Newburgh Lions lost to Colly Wobblers for whom Pat Gibson scored 15 and Mike Unsworth 20. Ormskirk Tennis Club, thanks to 20 from Paul Prior drew with Helenians for whom Mike Flaherty scored 15. 20 points from Eric Ray helped Squigglers to a much needed win over local rivals Whippet who only fielded 3 players; Debbie Davidson (18 and a full house) and Gordon Richards (20) did the bulk of the scoring for Whippet.
Division 2 :- Abbey Sinners remain top on points difference after beating Ormskirk Theatre Company; Bill Gerrard scored 22 for the winners. Close behind in the table come Rugby Hounds, for whom Eric Lupton scored 16, who won the day over Aughton Institute; Ian Bakewell scored 17 for Aughton. Despite 16 points from Jim Dawber, Bispham Farmers Arms lost to Gang of Four, for whom Rob Jones scored 17. 12 points each from Frank Molyneux and Phil Roberts earned Ormskirk Farmers a win over Benchwarmers; Rob Green scored 16 for Benchwarmers
